In more positive knitting-related news, here is a swift I made out of an old lampshade. It is of limited utility, since it will only accept hanks of a certain size, but since it exactly fits skeins wound around my chair-rails, it is pretty useful to me.
Also, it cost $4 to make, instead of $30-$90.
